not sure what it is yet, but something in my computer is dead. came home last night and my computer was off. tried to boot it up but no video. i think it's my video card...but i also don't see any hard drive activity when i boot up. :009:
i have no money to buy any new computer parts, so don't know when i'll be back.
well that's dissapointing to say the least. Sorry to hear it =(

i blew most of my tax return on a new massage table. was giving free massages...but looks like i'll have to start charging. i'm still in school for it so can't really charge full price. if i charge $10-20, 2 massages a day for the next 2 weeks i should have enough for a radeon x800xt...that is if my video card is the problem.

open your computer up and see if everything is in place...something like this happened to me (I think it was my video card that slipped out) and I was going nuts!!!

Thats what happens when you don't play savage. The computer always gets messed up.
i prescribe 5 hours of savage a day to keep the problems at bay

5 hours?...I might play again if it weren't so damn laggy/choppy...if there is more than 3 people on my screen I can barely play!

Try disconnecting everything from your computer including the mouse and keyboard. Uplug the power cord, then put the power cord back on and reboot. If you have hard drive activity and get the beeps, let it go through its' thing, then shut down and hook up just the video cable to your card. If that works, then you can shut down and hook everything else back up. If all this doesn't work, then go through the above procedure except this time, remove all of the installed cards in your computer except for the video card and try it. If it works, then you can add the cards till u find the bad one. I had a network card that went bad once and it wouldn't let me boot till I took it out. Good luck.
that sounds like a terribly long procedure. try a defrag :P

I've got my own athlon64 I built with an acrilic case, with red fans.. it purs and loves me everyday. Got about a gig of RAM and a tyan radeon 9500 in there. Course I don't do anything but play games on it and use xfire.... everything else this puter does. :)

When your puter is dead, you'll try anything to get it going. Imagine life without one....:frown:
