That type of mentality isn't likely to improve your game.

Sure, you might find someone might be a bit better at doing this or that specific thing better, but you keep that to yourself. You don't go around, telling people that someone is better than you. You keep that shit to yourself, you figure out what you need to work on, and you work on it. You fix it. You will then find yourself just as good or perhaps even better than the person that you originally concluded did a few things better than yourself. Going around, suggesting someone is "better than" you is a psychie relinquishing of your motivation to strive to do better, and has the potential to set up a mental block on your improvement... and basically you're telling your brain that you can't get as good, and you'll lack the motivation to do so at some degree... just by expressing it externally (big effect there) instead of keeping it to yourself and using that fuel to improve your game, which is much more productive than "giving up" by expressing the idea of incompetence compared to someone else.

Now, I don't know about you, or others that might support the type of action you took above, but I strive to do better always, and I know if there is something someone does a bit better, I fix it... so the next week or two, when you see me, I'm doing what they did, and I most likely will be doing it slightly better than them because I find a way to take it further.

You might think you can still improve your game.. hey that's fine.. but I'm giving you advice that will help you. Basically, you need to feel the competition when you notice someone is doing something you're not... and then you need to feel the anger during your attempts to do as they do, because it is the motivation to improve your game.. it is the fuel. If someone doesn't feel this, well, then that's what separates the "men from the boys"... but I would think most people in this clan know what I'm talking about, and it's why we are together in the first place for the most part - because the best players don't get to where they are by being passive and unemotional.

Just my two cents.

It shouldn't be about getting named an official title, it's about what can make us play better.

I like this post cause it applies to alot of things other than just savage. You go through life beleiving that your the best, and fixing the things you need to work on, then you will be the best, and it feels great.
