Anyone here interested in getting WoW when it comes out?

I'm definitly playing, I was only planning on playing Savage origionally until WoW came out but this was before when I thought WoW would be out by summer. I played EQ pretty hardcore and had a 65 enchanter but quit a little after PoP came out. I've been waiting a long time for another good MMORPG that held me like EQ did in the earlier days and I believe WoW will do that.

Nope, been there, done that. Been playing a little WoW at the local gaming center here.. just a toonish wanna-be if you ask me. I played EQ too, was a lvl 50 dwarf cleric before I sold my shit for $1500 back in the day. :P

I haven't seen EQ2, but it still has pansie rules.. all MMO's of today have shitty rules..

you should check out the Dawn faq at www.glitchless.com (http://www.glitchless.com) ...now there is going to be a sweet game, someday.
Ok ok, I know what you're going to say.. "that was vaporware".. yea yea.. it didn't have the funding, I would assume.. they are working on another game first... I did email them and they replied with the assertion that they do not plan on abandoning Dawn.

If you look at the FAQ, it rocks.. the main thing I like about it, is that it's hardcore MMO.. and I know what you guys are thinking, "you can't have hardcore in an MMO".. well, you can.. and the way they have it it works just fine. It's actually hard to die, easier to go unconscious.. and if you do die, they hint at you being able to go into another living NPC that's lower level, I'm not sure exactly.. but all faq on Dawn makes the game look awesome, and is the type of game we need other than all this pansie always-die, little-loss-when-you-do type of crap. Imagine building from scratch.. being able to imprison people.. hell, read the FAQ. :)

Unfortunately, after reading the FAQ, I find all other MMO's crap until they try that... I just can't play anything.. even thougH I tried LineageII for a bit.

I think I am still going to play WoW though. I am a big fan of Blizzard and the story of the warcraft world so I will buy it and play it merely for that. I also like the idea that they have implemented quests that characters can do that will change the entire server. Anyway.. I am going to pick it up and play it so when it comes out lets group up Peachy if you are interested.

Sure thing Highlander, I'm planning on playing a Troll or Orc rogue as my main, but most likely have a paladin alt as well so I will be playing on both sides.

play SB:wink: I played it for a long time, and I would really like to get back to it but my character (lvl 60 centaur healer based crusader) is on a different server than my guild... SB has awesome pvp so run to the store and buy it now !

I will download the trial version and see if I like it. Since I have no idea when WoW is coming out I wouldn't mind playing it for a while if it's fun. I'll let ya know.

I am not sure if they are going to let you do that or not Peachy. I have been reading the forums a lot lately and people have been complaining about players having a character on both sides. They have been using them as spies to find out where the alliance was planning on attacking.. then warning the Horde to set-up a trap.

They said they are looking into it. So my guess is they will allow you to be on only one faction per server. So if that were to happen.. would you do Horde or Alliance?

Well, I was planning on playing on a different server with alliance factioned characters. I wouldn't expect them to allow different faction characters on the same server, and I hope they don't.
