Hey all,

As we all know I want to get into an MMO. I am just letting people know that Ryzom will be in open beta next week on Monday. So if anyone wants to try it go download the client.

It's kind of cartoony looking but at least on paper I like they way they have dealt with keeping the game exciting. In that respect I mean having clans fight for key economy centers.. but also requiring them to work together in order to defend against attack waves of enemies. Either way.. free game for a couple weeks if anyone wants to check it out.

Spajj.. like I said in the first post. The open beta starts this coming monday. It's best to download it ahead of time though since there will be a rush on that day probably. So just wait a few more days and you can get into open beta.

Check the front page 2.. it often has updates about the beta

haha.. excellent question. No idea.. I think you can actually download the manual. So I may do that and scim through it so I can make an informed decision. I'll let ya know though before the beta starts.

It's a free beta.. I am willing to take the risk ;-). Besides.. WoW isn't slated to come out till end of the year.. I have an itch now!!

Still not sure.. tried looking through the manual.. wasn't too helpful. I don't think I understand the advantages between the races. I will most likely pick a caster position though. I prefer support roles. So (some race) caster, and weapon enchanting.

- Highlanderrace don't change anything except at really high level of magic and we won't get there for sure I'll take matis or zorais cause they look cool

I picked a matis all magic chick. My original feelings was that it sucked too. Having read a little more on it I think I know why I had a bad first impression and I will try again with a new character. However, I have been really busy so I wont be able to play until Friday at the earliest.
